Course description:

This course provides a deeper exploration of more advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques relevant for scientific data analysis. It has a particular focus on neural networks with the aim of preparing students to understand and use the cutting edge of deep-learning techniques. The course finishes with frontier problems such as interpretability, uncertainty estimation, and simulation-based inference.
